LumaSense Technologies Appoints Veteran Technology Executive Steve Abely to Succeed Founder & CEO Vivek Joshi
SANTA CLARA, Calif., February 25, 2013 – Today LumaSense Technologies, Inc. announced the succession of its founding CEO, Vivek Joshi, by its current CFO Steve Abely. Mr. Joshi continues as Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors, and will transition his CEO responsibilities to Mr. Abely over the next few months.
Mr. Abely joined LumaSense Inc. in July of 2012 as CFO. He has over 25 years of experience leading technology and manufacturing companies. While President and CFO of StorMedia, Mr. Abely oversaw the company through its IPO and tripled the company’s annual revenue. Over his seven year tenure as CFO of Bookham (now Oclaro), a leading supplier of optical components and subsystems, Mr. Abely led the company through several major acquisitions.
